Officer Martin Ganz served the Manhattan Beach Community as a Police Officer since September 1989. He was most recently assigned to the Traffic Bureau where he was a motorcycle officer. Officer Ganz's interest in children led him to become a DARE instructor. As such, he was highly regarded by both students and teachers. He was very enthusiastic, energetic and a highly committed team player who truly loved his job. Officer Ganz originally joined the Manhattan Beach Police Department as a police Services Officer in September 1988, when he was manager of the Traffic Grant which was designed to increase the use of seatbelts by motorists.
